After the US president was mocked for his awkward moment with Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe at the weekend, Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau was the latest leader to tackle Trump’s tight grip.
The handshake was a huge talking point on social media, with one Twitter user joking: “Trudeau resisting Trump's weird handshake is the biggest display of dominance in the history of Canada.”

After their meeting, Trudeau said he "wouldn’t lecture" Trump over his controversial travel ban.
"There have been times where we have differed in our approaches and that's always been done firmly and respectfully," he said.
"The last thing Canadians expect is for me to come down and lecture another country on how they choose to govern themselves."
